Time and date showing incorrectly after switching networks

Your phone normally sets its clock from the network it's connected to, and that update can lag right after landing, or stay wrong if automatic time is off.

The fix

iPhone, Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically on. Android, Settings > System > Date & time, with automatic time and time zone on. If it's already on and still wrong, toggle it off and on to force a fresh sync, then confirm the clock matches the local time.

Why it matters beyond alarms

A wrong clock quietly breaks things that look unrelated: adding an eSIM can fail, authenticator and banking codes can be rejected, secure websites can refuse to load, and calendar events shift. If you're seeing odd failures right after a time-zone change, check the clock first.

Two lines, two time signals

With a home SIM and a KnowRoaming eSIM both active, your phone takes time from the network carrying data. If your home line still carries data, the phone may cling to home time. Selecting the KnowRoaming line for data fixes it. See Setting the KnowRoaming line as primary for data.
