Maps and location not updating accurately

Two different systems are involved, and it helps to know which is failing.

Your position (the blue dot) comes from GPS satellites, not from your data connection. If the dot is wrong or frozen, check Location Services is on for your maps app, and that the app has "precise location" permission. Tall buildings and tunnels also confuse GPS regardless of provider. None of this involves your KnowRoaming plan.

The map itself (tiles, roads, search, directions) needs data. If the dot is accurate but the map won't load or reroute, that's a data issue: check the KnowRoaming line is selected for data and roaming is on, and see Speeds are slower than expected.

The fix that solves both

Download offline maps for your destination before you go. Every KnowRoaming destination page recommends it for a reason. With offline maps, navigation works in the Okavango, on a Fijian outer island, or in a Tokyo subway tunnel, and it saves your fixed-plan data for everything else.

Wrong city entirely?

Your phone may still think it's in your home time zone or location. Toggle Airplane Mode for 30 seconds, and check Date & Time is set automatically.
