SMS codes go to your home number, always. Your plan has no number, so codes never route through it. They arrive on your home line, which has to be switched on, not only roaming-off, and have signal. If your bank's app is the one refusing you, that's the bank's travel check, not your connection, and there's a fix for that too.
Open your SIM settings and confirm your home line is on. Turning it off entirely to save battery also turns off SMS. Then switch on Airplane Mode for 30 seconds and off again, so the home line registers freshly. Receiving texts abroad is usually free, but that's your home carrier's rule.
Codes can't arrive on a line that's off. Turn it on, leave its data roaming off, and give it a minute. If the home line shows no service where the KnowRoaming line has full bars, the home carrier's roaming partner in that spot is the limit; move to a window or outdoors.
Banks watch for sign-ins from an unfamiliar country, and traveling creates exactly that. Some add checks; some block the login until you confirm it's you. Set a travel notice in the bank's app before you go, or call the number on the back of your card if you're blocked now.
Authenticator codes and some banking apps fail when the time is off. Set Date & Time to automatic.
Banking apps often refuse connections through a VPN. Turn it off for the sign-in.
Most services offer a backup: email verification, or backup codes saved at setup. Check those before assuming you're stuck. Before your next trip, switch the accounts that matter to an authenticator app; codes are generated on your phone with no delivery step to fail.
If your home line is on with signal and codes still don't arrive, the fix is with your home carrier or the service sending the code, not with us. If nothing loads at all on the KnowRoaming line, that's ours: see eSIM not working: no data after landing. Still not working? Message us on WhatsApp at +1-888-357-7347 and include four things: your ICCID, your order number, your phone model and OS version, and what you've already tried.
Restart, toggle airplane mode, or reach out to KnowRoaming's 24/7 support.
Since an eSIM functions similarly to a traditional SIM, your service provider may swiftly deactivate your service in the event that you misplace or have your device stolen. Do not hesitate to contact them immediately.
Be sure that your network plan allows for using it as a Personal Hotspot and that your provider has enabled it if you are unable to locate or activate it. To reconnect another device to Personal Hotspot, you must first restart both the iPhone or iPad that is providing the service and the second device. Verify that you are using the most recent version of Apple's iOS or iPadOS.
