Yes. The Caribbean plan covers Anguilla and 24 other islands and destinations, including Saint Martin (French part), Antigua, and Saint Kitts, and your phone switches networks by itself as you move between them. It does not cover the Dutch side of St. Martin. Details in does a region plan cover every country in it?
No. Princess Juliana Airport is on the Dutch side, which isn't a KnowRoaming destination. The French side, Saint Martin, is covered by its own plan and by the Caribbean plan. Use airport Wi-Fi to message your boat, or add a Saint Martin plan for the transfer via Marigot.
In Anguilla your plan connects to Flow on 4G LTE, which handles maps, messaging, video calls, and streaming; there is no 5G on the island. Your phone joins the network automatically once the plan is switched on. If it hasn't connected a minute after you arrive, work through the no-signal checklist.
Yes. Hotspot is allowed on every plan, and Flow's 4G reaches nearly every villa on the island. An unlimited plan, with 5 GB a day at full speed, is the one to pick if the house connection is unreliable and you're working.
It depends on how much data you want and how many days you're staying. A fixed plan costs less overall; an unlimited plan (5 GB a day at full speed, then slower) works out to a lower daily rate the longer you stay. Every current option and price is in the plan selector at the top of this page.
In the app: open My plans, choose your Anguilla plan, and tap Top up. The extra data lands on the same eSIM within a few seconds, with nothing new to add or scan. Full steps are in topping up data without reinstalling the eSIM.
Weeks ahead. The plan's days don't start until you turn it on and connect, so a plan bought a month before departure is still complete when you land. Plans need to be activated within 90 days of purchase. See what plan validity means and when it starts.
If it's eSIM-compatible and carrier-unlocked, yes, which covers most phones sold since 2019. The one-minute check for iPhone, Android, and Samsung is in is my phone eSIM compatible?

Anguilla eSIM for beach weeks, villas, and the ferry from St. Martin
Set it up before you fly. It's live the moment you land, nothing to check, nothing to remember.

Most trips to Anguilla start on a different island: you land at St. Martin's airport, cross to the French side, and take a boat. The best eSIM for Anguilla is the one that's ready when the boat docks at Blowing Point, so the villa manager, the taxi, and the dinner booking are all a message away.
Below: how an Anguilla plan works, how to set it up before you fly, what happens to your signal at St. Martin's airport, and what to expect on the beaches and the boats.
Island trips rarely stay on one island, and most travel eSIMs make you start over at every stop. KnowRoaming doesn't. You add the KnowRoaming eSIM, called KR.One, to your phone once, then add a plan per trip: Anguilla this time, the whole Caribbean plan when you're hopping between islands, somewhere else entirely next winter. Nothing to scan again, nothing to delete when you get home.
The plan's days start when you turn it on and connect in Anguilla, not at checkout. Buy it weeks ahead, add it at home, and a delayed flight costs you nothing. The full rule is in what plan validity means and when it starts.
Choose a fixed plan for a set amount of data at the lowest overall price, or an unlimited plan when you'd rather not count. Unlimited plans give you 5 GB a day at full speed, then a slower speed until the allowance resets the next day. If a fixed plan runs low, top up in the app and the extra data lands on the same eSIM.
See it in two minutes: Meet KR.One, iPhone setup with KR.One, or Samsung setup with KR.One.
Do this at home on Wi-Fi. It takes about a minute.
Before you leave
- Get the KnowRoaming app (available on iOS and Android) and choose your Anguilla plan.
- Tap Add. First time on this phone? The app adds KR.One and your Anguilla plan together. Already have KR.One? Only the plan is added, with nothing to scan.
- Leave data roaming off on the KnowRoaming line until you land, and turn it off on your home line too so it doesn't run up charges in the background. Steps are in turning off roaming on your home line.
When you land
- Turn the plan on in the app, then turn data roaming on for the KnowRoaming line. That setting lives in your phone, so the app can't flip it for you.
- Give the phone a minute to find the network. If nothing happens, turn airplane mode on for 30 seconds and off again.
Prefer a QR code? The checkout page and your confirmation email both carry one; scan it from your phone's settings. Every tap, by device, is in adding your eSIM on iPhone, adding your eSIM on Android, and adding your eSIM on Samsung, or watch the iPhone QR walkthrough or the Samsung QR walkthrough. Still no signal after landing? Work through the no-signal checklist.
Princess Juliana Airport, SXM, is on the Dutch side of St. Martin. From there most visitors take a shared boat direct from the airport, or a taxi to Marigot on the French side and the public ferry across the channel, about half an hour. Small planes fly into Clayton J. Lloyd Airport on Anguilla itself.
US dollars are accepted everywhere alongside the Eastern Caribbean dollar, and cards work at the resorts and restaurants. Boat operators, beach bars, and taxis often want cash. Taxis have fixed rates by zone and no meters, so agree the fare before you get in.
Here is the catch nobody mentions until they're standing in the arrivals hall: the Dutch side of St. Martin, where the airport is, is not a KnowRoaming destination, so an Anguilla plan won't connect there and neither will the Caribbean plan. The French side, Saint Martin, is on the Caribbean plan. If you're crossing via Marigot, add a Saint Martin plan to the same eSIM for the transfer; if you're taking the boat straight from the airport, message the operator over airport Wi-Fi and your Anguilla plan takes over at the dock. Read do I need a new plan for every country? for how plans on one eSIM work together.
Shoal Bay, Meads Bay, and Rendezvous Bay are the beaches people come for, and Sandy Ground is where the boats leave from. Day trips to Sandy Island and Prickly Pear go a mile or two offshore, and the signal goes with the shoreline.
Anguilla is a villa island, and villa Wi-Fi is variable. A hotspot from the plan covers a laptop on the terrace when the house connection drops, which on a 16-mile island with Flow's network is a reliable fallback nearly everywhere on land.
Anguilla's high season runs from December to April, when the villas, the beach restaurants, and the boat trips all need booking. From late August into October many restaurants and some hotels close for hurricane season and their own holidays, and the island goes quiet; what's open changes week to week and is best confirmed by message.
Boat trips depend on the swell, and operators cancel by WhatsApp the morning of. The plan's job in those months is mostly to keep that channel open, so a fixed plan with a few gigabytes goes a long way; an unlimited plan makes sense if you're working from a villa with patchy Wi-Fi.
Anguilla is sixteen miles long with one main road down its spine, and getting around means a rental car, which needs a local permit sold at the counter, or a taxi called by phone, since there are no ride-hailing apps and taxis don't cruise. Villa managers keep a list of drivers; the number is worth saving before you arrive.
Driving is on the left and unhurried, the beaches are signed from the main road, and the phone's map handles the rest. Fuel stations close early, so fill up in The Valley in the afternoon.
Your plan connects to Flow on 4G LTE. There is no 5G on Anguilla. The island is small and flat and coverage holds from Blowing Point to Island Harbour, including the beaches. Your phone picks the network automatically once the plan is on; there is nothing to choose by hand.
On the boats and the offshore cays, expect the signal to fade a mile out. Download anything you'll need on the water before you leave the dock.
Most phones sold since 2019 support eSIM, including iPhone XS and later and most Android flagships from the same window. Check yours before you add a plan; it takes a few seconds. On iPhone, go to Settings, General, About and look for an EID or Available SIM. On Android, go to Settings, Network & Internet, SIMs and look for an option to add an eSIM. On Samsung, dial *#06# and look for an EID.
Your phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked. If you're not sure, carrier-locked vs unlocked: how to tell shows you where to look.
Adding an Anguilla plan doesn't touch your regular SIM. Calls and texts on your usual number keep working exactly as before. The new plan handles data while you're there, and most phones run both at once without you doing anything else. Bank codes and two-factor texts still arrive on your home number, as long as that line stays switched on.
On an island the alternatives are thin: a home-carrier roaming pass that treats every island as a new country, a local SIM from a shop that closes early, or resort Wi-Fi that stops at the pool. An Anguilla plan added at home beats all three: one price agreed before you fly, live the second you land, and a Caribbean plan if the trip takes in more than one island.
