Maps, messages, and browsing fit a fixed plan; streaming, video calls, or sharing your connection call for unlimited. If you're between two sizes, size up: a plan you don't finish costs less than running out on day eight, and you can top up the same eSIM any time.
Every destination offers two kinds of plan. Fixed gives you a set amount of data for a set number of days, at the lowest overall price. It stops when the data is used, and a top-up brings it back. On an unlimited plan, you get 5 GB at full speed every 24 hours. After that, you stay connected at a reduced speed until the allowance resets. The longer you stay, the lower an unlimited plan's daily rate works out.
What uses data: maps, messaging, email, and browsing use a few hundred megabytes a day between them. An hour of HD video, a long video call, or a laptop on your hotspot can each use a gigabyte or more. If any of those is part of the trip, unlimited is the plan to pick.
Your plan starts when you connect in a supported country, not when you buy. Your validity days count from that first connection. Unused data expires at the end of your validity period. It doesn't roll over. Unused data doesn't carry over when the plan ends.
Nope. You pay as you go. No strings attached.
