Warm is normal. Navigation, hotspot, video calls, and streaming work your phone's processor, radio, and battery hard, and doing them outdoors in a hot climate adds to it. A phone in a car mount in the Moroccan or Australian sun will run warm regardless of which line is carrying data.

Two things to know. First, none of this is caused by the eSIM; a second line adds a small amount of background radio activity, nothing more. Second, your phone protects itself: when it gets too hot it dims the screen, slows down, may turn off the flash or camera, and eventually shows a temperature warning and pauses until it cools. That's a safety response, not a fault, and not something to push through.

What helps: take it out of direct sun, remove a thick case, pause hotspot or downloads for a few minutes, and let it cool before charging. If you're tethering a laptop for hours, keep the phone in shade and plugged in.
