Add, rename, or archive a device
Every phone that carries a KnowRoaming eSIM is a device on your account, listed under My plans. Add one by setting a plan up on it, rename it to anything you'll recognize, and archive it when you're done with it. Archiving hides the device and its plans from My plans; it doesn't refund or transfer anything.
Steps
- Open the KnowRoaming app and go to My plans.
- To add a device: tap Add another device and plan, name it, and follow the auto setup on that phone.
- To rename a device: tap it, then edit its name.
- To archive a device: tap it, choose Archive, and confirm.
A new device joins your account as part of setup. An archived one moves to View archived devices, with the date.
Good to know
- Archive a device only when you're done with it: a phone you've replaced, or one that's lost. For a lost phone, archive first, then set up the replacement; see New phone, reset, or lost phone: getting set up again.
- Archived devices stay listed under View archived devices with the date, so your history is kept.
- A second device on the same trip needs its own eSIM and its own plan; see A second device on the same trip: What it needs.
