What each plan status means (active, expiring, expired)

Active means the plan has connected and its days are counting. Expiring means it's close to the end of its validity. Expired means the validity has ended and the line no longer connects. A plan that's on your phone but hasn't connected yet hasn't started, and no days are used.

The status sits on the plan in My plans, next to the data left and the days left. Until you land and connect, the plan sits on your phone with nothing used and nothing counting down. Active starts at that first connection. Expiring is a heads-up to top up if you still need coverage, not a sign anything has gone wrong; see Top up your plan: add data or days without a new eSIM. Expired plans stay in your history under Order history.

Your plan starts when you connect in a supported country, not when you buy. Your validity days count from that first connection. Unused data expires at the end of your validity period. It doesn't roll over.
