Coverage in the Middle East and North Africa

Each country has its own plan, or the Middle East and North Africa plan covers 15 countries on one eSIM and switches networks by itself at each border. Israel, Kuwait, Morocco, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia use the knowroaming APN, and so does the regional plan. Set it before you connect.

More detail

The full list is on the plan page under Where this eSIM works. It includes Turkey, which is also on the Europe plan, and Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia, which are also on the Africa plan. Choose by route: the regional plan for two or more of its countries, the country plan for one.

Some countries in the region block internet calling apps at the network level. If a calling app won't connect, that's local policy, not your plan. A call over your home line still works. In Saudi Arabia, you can link a mokafaa account and earn mokafaa points instead of Kreds; see Claim a partner benefit: Visa, mokafaa, Hollard, and vouchers. The APN table and the path for your phone are in your add guide under Setting your APN.

The signal is strongest around cities, airports, and main routes and thins in rural and remote areas, the same as at home. Each country's page says where, and names the networks your plan uses there. See What to expect from coverage, city to countryside. Your plan starts when you connect in a supported country, not when you buy. Your validity days count from that first connection. Unused data expires at the end of your validity period. It doesn't roll over.
