Coverage in Latin America

Each country has its own plan, or the Latin America plan covers 15 countries on one eSIM and switches networks by itself at each border. Seven of them use the tn1 APN: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Mexico. Set it before you connect.

More detail

The full list is on the plan page under Where this eSIM works. It doesn't cover every country in the region. Bolivia and Paraguay, for example, have their own plans and are on the Global plan, but not on this one. Check your route against the list. Mexico is also on the North America plan, if the trip starts in the USA.

The signal is strongest around capitals and big cities. It drops off into the Andes, the Amazon, and other remote areas. Download maps before a trek, and treat a signal on the trail as a bonus. The APN table and the path for your phone are in your add guide under Setting your APN.

The signal is strongest around cities, airports, and main routes and thins in rural and remote areas, the same as at home. Each country's page says where, and names the networks your plan uses there. See What to expect from coverage, city to countryside. Your plan starts when you connect in a supported country, not when you buy. Your validity days count from that first connection. Unused data expires at the end of your validity period. It doesn't roll over.
