Adding your plan on a foldable: Galaxy Fold, Flip, and Pixel Fold

Steps

1. 1Unfold or extend the device fully, and close any multi-window view down to one full screen.
2. 2Open the KnowRoaming app, go to My plans, select your device, and tap Add a plan.
3. 3From Settings instead: Galaxy, Settings > Connections > SIM manager > Add eSIM; Pixel Fold, Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > Add eSIM.
4. 4Scan the QR code from your order page or email, or enter the details by hand.
5. 5When you land, turn the KnowRoaming line on, turn on data roaming, and select it for data.

The auto setup in step 2 works the same on a foldable, with nothing to scan. The landing taps are in Turn on data roaming for your plan on Samsung or Turn on data roaming for your plan on Android.

Good to know

• Galaxy Z Fold5 and later and Z Flip5 and later support eSIM. Not sure about yours? Dial *#06#; an EID number means you're set. See Which devices support eSIM?.
• Everything else, including the APN table and what to do if the add fails, is in Add your plan on Samsung or Add your plan on Android.
• It's fine to add your plan days before you fly, as long as you have a stable connection to do it. Leave data roaming off until you land. Nothing on your plan starts until you connect abroad, so there's no downside to adding early and switching on later.
