Which devices are eSIM compatible?

The one place in the support center that names models. Everywhere else says "iPhone XS and later, most Android flagships since 2019," because lists go stale; this one is reviewed each September and dated at the top. Apple

• iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR, and every iPhone released since: iPhone 11 through iPhone 17 (all models, including mini, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max), iPhone Air, iPhone 16e and iPhone 17e, and iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd generation)
• iPad Pro 11-inch, iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later), iPad Pro 13-inch, iPad Air (3rd generation and later), and iPad mini (5th generation and later). Cellular models only.
• Not compatible: iPhones made for mainland China, apart from the iPhone 17e and iPhone Air. iPhones made for Hong Kong and Macao, apart from the iPhone SE (2nd generation and later), 12 mini, 13 mini, 16e, 17e, the iPhone 17 lineup, and iPhone Air.

Samsung

• Galaxy S series: S20 through S26, including FE and Ultra variants
• Galaxy Z Fold5 through Fold8 Ultra, Z Flip5 through Flip8
• Galaxy Note 20 series
• Galaxy A series: A54, A55, A56, A35, A36, and A17 5G through A57 5G
• Galaxy Xcover7 and Xcover7 Pro
• Galaxy Tab S9 through S11 series, Tab S9 FE and S10 FE, Tab Active5 (cellular models only)
• eSIM availability depends on where your Galaxy was sold. Devices sold in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan usually ship without eSIM hardware, and so do some older US and South Korean variants (the S20, S21, and Note 20 Ultra, for example).

Google

• Pixel 3 and later, through the Pixel 10 series, including the a-series (3a onward), Pixel Fold, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold
• Pixel 2 and 2 XL, on Google Fi only
• Not compatible: Pixel 3 phones sold in Australia, Taiwan, or Japan, or bought through a US or Canadian carrier other than Sprint or Google Fi. Pixel 3a phones sold in Southeast Asia or bought through Verizon.

Motorola

• Razr: Razr (2019) and later, including Razr 5G, Razr 40, 50, and 60, and the Razr+ and Razr Ultra models
• Edge: Edge (2022) and later, including the Edge 40, 50, and 60 families
• Moto G: Moto G (2024), Moto G (2025), Moto G Power (2024), Moto G Stylus 5G, and Moto G34, G35, G53, G54, G54 Power, G55, G67, G75, G77, G84, G85, and G86
• ThinkPhone 25
• Motorola enables eSIM on some regional versions and not others, so check with *#06# before you buy.

Huawei

• P40 and P40 Pro
• Mate 40 Pro
• Not compatible: P40 Pro+, and any Huawei sold in China.

Sony

• Xperia 1 IV and later
• Xperia 5 IV and later
• Xperia 10 III Lite, 10 IV (Europe only), 10 V, and 10 VI

Other brands

• eSIM support on these brands varies by region, so confirm with *#06#.
• Xiaomi: 12T Pro and later flagships (the 13, 14, and 15 series, including T, Pro, Ultra, and Lite models), POCO X7, F8 Pro, and F8 Ultra, and the Redmi Note 13 Pro and 14 Pro families
• OnePlus: OnePlus 11 and later, and OnePlus Open
• Honor: 90, 200, and 400 series, Magic4 Pro and later, and Magic V2, V3, and Vs3
• Oppo: Find X3 and later, Find N2 Flip, Find N5, and the Reno 5A, 6 Pro 5G, 9A, 14, and 15 series
• Vivo: X90 Pro and later, V29, V40, and V50 (Europe and Latin America), and iQOO 15
• Nokia: G60, X30, and XR21
• TCL: 40 XL, 50 series, 60 series, and NxtPaper 70 Pro
• Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, Fairphone 4 and 5, Realme 14 Pro+, ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra, and ZTE nubia Flip 2
• Rakuten and Sharp AQUOS models sold in Japan

• KnowRoaming plans work on iPhone XS and later and on most Android flagships released since 2019. Your phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked. Check your exact model on the device compatibility page before you buy.
