Yes. The Caribbean plan covers Saint Kitts and Nevis and 24 other islands and destinations, including Antigua, Saint Martin, and Anguilla, and your phone switches networks by itself as you move between them. Details in does a region plan cover every country in it?
On both islands your plan connects to Flow on 4G LTE, which handles maps, messaging, video calls, and streaming; 5G is not part of this plan. Your phone joins the network automatically once the plan is switched on. If it hasn't connected a minute after landing, work through the no-signal checklist.
Yes, one plan covers Saint Kitts and Nevis, and the ferry keeps signal near either shore. Check the schedule at the pier; it slips with the swell.
Yes. The plan starts counting when you switch it on and connect as you come ashore at Port Zante, so a one-day plan covers a port day. It won't work at sea; turn it off again when you sail.
It depends on how much data you want and how many days you're staying. A fixed plan costs less overall; an unlimited plan (5 GB a day at full speed, then slower) works out to a lower daily rate the longer you stay. Every current option and price is in the plan selector at the top of this page.
In the app: open My plans, choose your Saint Kitts and Nevis plan, and tap Top up. The extra data lands on the same eSIM within a few seconds, with nothing new to add or scan. Full steps are in topping up data without reinstalling the eSIM.
Weeks ahead. The plan's days don't start until you turn it on and connect, so a plan bought a month before departure is still complete when you land. Plans need to be activated within 90 days of purchase. See what plan validity means and when it starts.
If it's eSIM-compatible and carrier-unlocked, yes, which covers most phones sold since 2019. The one-minute check for iPhone, Android, and Samsung is in is my phone eSIM compatible?

Saint Kitts and Nevis eSIM for the beaches, the railway, and the ferry
Set it up before you fly. It's live the moment you land, nothing to check, nothing to remember.

Saint Kitts and Nevis are two islands, a two-mile channel, and a ferry that crosses it a dozen times a day, and the taxi stand at the airport is where the phone should already be working. The best eSIM for Saint Kitts and Nevis is the one added at home, on Wi-Fi, so the ferry times are loaded and the Nevis guesthouse messaged before the humidity settles in.
Below: how a Saint Kitts and Nevis plan works, how to set it up before you fly, what to expect on each island and on the water between, and which plan fits when the trip continues up the chain.
Island trips rarely stay on one island, and most travel eSIMs make you start over at every stop. KnowRoaming doesn't. You add the KnowRoaming eSIM, called KR.One, to your phone once, then add a plan per trip: Saint Kitts and Nevis this time, the whole Caribbean plan when you're hopping between islands, somewhere else entirely next winter. Nothing to scan again, nothing to delete when you get home.
The plan's days start when you turn it on and connect in Saint Kitts and Nevis, not at checkout. Buy it weeks ahead, add it at home, and a delayed flight costs you nothing. The full rule is in what plan validity means and when it starts.
Choose a fixed plan for a set amount of data at the lowest overall price, or an unlimited plan when you'd rather not count. Unlimited plans give you 5 GB a day at full speed, then a slower speed until the allowance resets the next day. If a fixed plan runs low, top up in the app and the extra data lands on the same eSIM.
See it in two minutes: Meet KR.One, iPhone setup with KR.One, or Samsung setup with KR.One.
Do this at home on Wi-Fi. It takes about a minute.
Before you leave
- Get the KnowRoaming app (available on iOS and Android) and choose your Saint Kitts and Nevis plan.
- Tap Add. First time on this phone? The app adds KR.One and your Saint Kitts and Nevis plan together. Already have KR.One? Only the plan is added, with nothing to scan.
- Leave data roaming off on the KnowRoaming line until you land, and turn it off on your home line too so it doesn't run up charges in the background. Steps are in turning off roaming on your home line.
When you land
- Turn the plan on in the app, then turn data roaming on for the KnowRoaming line. That setting lives in your phone, so the app can't flip it for you.
- Give the phone a minute to find the network. If nothing happens, turn airplane mode on for 30 seconds and off again.
Prefer a QR code? The checkout page and your confirmation email both carry one; scan it from your phone's settings. Every tap, by device, is in adding your eSIM on iPhone, adding your eSIM on Android, and adding your eSIM on Samsung, or watch the iPhone QR walkthrough or the Samsung QR walkthrough. Still no signal after landing? Work through the no-signal checklist.
Robert L. Bradshaw International is minutes from Basseterre, and taxis run on fixed rates by zone; the minibuses circle the island for cash, and rental cars need a local permit, with traffic on the left. The Eastern Caribbean dollar is the currency, US dollars are accepted, and cards work at the hotels, the restaurants, and the supermarkets; the buses, the ferries, and the beach bars want cash.
Basseterre's Circus and the Independence Square, Brimstone Hill fortress, and the scenic railway around the island's cane fields are Saint Kitts's first days; the south-east peninsula's beaches at Cockleshell and Frigate Bay are the rest.
The ferries from Basseterre to Charlestown take about 45 minutes and the water taxi from the peninsula to Nevis's Oualie beach ten, with the schedules posted at the piers and slipping with the swell; Nevis is the quieter island, with the Pinney's beach, the plantation inns, the Nevis Peak hike, and Alexander Hamilton's birthplace. Flow's 4G covers both islands; the channel keeps signal near either shore, and the peak's trail drops out.
Nevis's Botanical Gardens, the Bath Hotel's hot spring, and the Montpelier and Nisbet plantation inns are the island's afternoons; Charlestown's Saturday market and the ferry pier are its center, and the whole island is a 20-mile loop.
Basseterre's Port Zante takes the big ships, and a port day works on a one-day plan that starts counting as you come ashore; the St. Kitts Music Festival in June, Carnival over Christmas and New Year, and the Nevis Culturama in August are the calendar's high points. June to November is hurricane season, when the airlines and hotels post changes to their apps first.
Saint Kitts and Nevis is on the Caribbean plan, 25 islands and destinations on one plan that also covers Antigua, Saint Martin (French part), Anguilla, and Montserrat, the usual island hops by short flight or boat; the phone switches networks by itself when you land. It is also on the Global plan. A Saint Kitts and Nevis-only plan stops at the coast. Read do I need a new plan for every country? for the detail.
Mount Liamuiga's crater hike on Saint Kitts and Nevis Peak are guided mornings that leave the signal at the trailhead; the dive sites and the catamaran days to the peninsula's bays lose it a mile out. Book the guides and the boats by message the evening before while you have data.
Your plan connects to Flow on 4G LTE. There is no 5G on this plan. Coverage holds across Saint Kitts and Nevis, including Basseterre, Charlestown, the resort coasts, and the road round each island. Your phone picks the network automatically once the plan is on; there is nothing to choose by hand.
On the volcano trails, the rainforest, and the boats, expect gaps on any network. Save what you need in town.
Most phones sold since 2019 support eSIM, including iPhone XS and later and most Android flagships from the same window. Check yours before you add a plan; it takes a few seconds. On iPhone, go to Settings, General, About and look for an EID or Available SIM. On Android, go to Settings, Network & Internet, SIMs and look for an option to add an eSIM. On Samsung, dial *#06# and look for an EID.
Your phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked. If you're not sure, carrier-locked vs unlocked: how to tell shows you where to look.
Adding a Saint Kitts and Nevis plan doesn't touch your regular SIM. Calls and texts on your usual number keep working exactly as before. The new plan handles data while you're there, and most phones run both at once without you doing anything else. Bank codes and two-factor texts still arrive on your home number, as long as that line stays switched on.
On an island the alternatives are thin: a home-carrier roaming pass that treats every island as a new country, a local SIM from a shop that closes early, or resort Wi-Fi that stops at the pool. A Saint Kitts and Nevis plan added at home beats all three: one price agreed before you fly, live the second you land, and a Caribbean plan if the trip takes in more than one island.
