Coverage in Southeast Asia

Each country has its own plan, or the Asia plan covers the region on one eSIM and switches networks by itself at each border. Indonesia, the Philippines, and Singapore use the kroly APN. Set it before you connect if any of them is on your route.

More detail

The Asia plan covers 28 countries in all. That includes every Southeast Asian country we sell, plus Japan, South Korea, China, India, Australia, and New Zealand. The full list is on the plan page under Where this eSIM works. For a route through several countries it's simpler than a plan per border. The phone switches networks at each crossing on its own.

Networks vary a lot across the region, and within a country between the capital and the countryside or outer islands. Island-hopping in Indonesia or the Philippines is covered by one plan. Smaller, more remote islands can have little or no signal, so download maps and bookings before a boat. The APN table and the path for your phone are in your add guide under Setting your APN.

The signal is strongest around cities, airports, and main routes and thins in rural and remote areas, the same as at home. Each country's page says where, and names the networks your plan uses there. See What to expect from coverage, city to countryside. Your plan starts when you connect in a supported country, not when you buy. Your validity days count from that first connection. Unused data expires at the end of your validity period. It doesn't roll over.
