The Add plan button is missing on purpose. A legacy eSIM holds one destination for its whole life, so there's nothing new to attach to it. Your next plan goes on a KR.One eSIM instead. Here's what's going on, and what to do.
Open the KnowRoaming app and go to My plans. If the eSIM you're looking at sits behind Show legacy eSIMs, it's a legacy eSIM, and Add plan is turned off for it on purpose. If it sits in your main device list, it's KR.One, and Add plan should be there; skip to Still not working? below.
It was added before KR.One, when each KnowRoaming eSIM was tied to one destination (what a legacy eSIM is). It shows its data left and expiry date, but no Add plan. Buy your next plan as usual. At checkout, choose the phone you're using. If it has no KR.One eSIM yet, the app adds one in about a minute. Every plan after that attaches to it.
You can keep using a legacy eSIM until it runs out or expires (details). The data doesn't move to KR.One, so use it first, then switch.
If you've bought from KnowRoaming since KR.One, you already have a KR.One eSIM in your main device list. That's where Add plan lives. Legacy eSIMs sit in their own list and never get the button.
Buy that destination as a new plan. It attaches to your KR.One eSIM, not to the legacy one. The legacy eSIM for that destination stays in your list as history.
The app should have added a KR.One eSIM during checkout. If it didn't, open My plans and try again from there. Your plan is safe, and nothing extra was charged. The full sequence is in Moving from a legacy eSIM to KR.One.
Still not working? Message us on WhatsApp at +1-888-357-7347 and include four things: your ICCID, your order number, your phone model and OS version, and what you've already tried. See Still not working? When to contact us and what to send for where to find each one.
Restart, toggle airplane mode, or reach out to KnowRoaming's 24/7 support.
Since an eSIM functions similarly to a traditional SIM, your service provider may swiftly deactivate your service in the event that you misplace or have your device stolen. Do not hesitate to contact them immediately.
Be sure that your network plan allows for using it as a Personal Hotspot and that your provider has enabled it if you are unable to locate or activate it. To reconnect another device to Personal Hotspot, you must first restart both the iPhone or iPad that is providing the service and the second device. Verify that you are using the most recent version of Apple's iOS or iPadOS.
